    ●High-power and high-performance circuit
    501DX employs the circuit that has maximum output power of 80W. As a result it can charge or discharge up to 12 cells of NiCd/NiMH and 5 series of Li-ion/poly batteries with maximum current of 5.0A.
    ●Optimized operating software
    When charging or discharging, 501DX has an 'AUTO' function that set the current automatically. Especially for Lithium batteries, it can prevent from over-charging can lead to an explosion by users fault. Every program in the unit is controlled with mutual links and communicates for every possible error so it introduces a maximum safety. These can be set at users option.
    ●Operating program upgrade
    The operating program can easily upgraed through the external port o the unit for the improvement in future.
    ●Maximum safety
    Delta-peak sensitivity: The automatic charge termanation program works on the principle of the Delta-peak voltage detection. The charge monitors the voltage curve and assessment of the peak with the charging time increment. This indicates the terminal point of charging accurately. The value of trigger voltage can be set separately for NiCd and NiMh batteries in mV.
    Capaciy limit: The charging capacity always calculated by multiple of the charging current and time. If the charging capacity exceeds the mimit the process will be terminated automatically when you set the maximum value.
    Temperature limit(*): The temperature of the battery on charging will raise by its internal chemical reaction. If the temperature increases too much the charging process cannot be accomplished properly and also the battery can be damaged. If you set the limit of temperature the process will be expired forcibly.
    Processing time limit: You can also restrain the maximum process time to prevent from any possible defect.
    Input power monitor:To protect the car battery using as input power from being damaged the voltage of it always monitored. If it drops below the lower limit the process will be ended automatically.
    ●Monitoring the voltage of individual cell(**)
    Unbalance of the voltage of each cell can occur in the Lithium battery pack because of consecutive charge and discharge. Using 'Balance-guard (PB-5)'. the charger monitors the voltage of each cell and controls the charge and discharge current to equalize the voltage. For this process the charger communicats with the external balance-guard.
    ●Data store/load
    For users convenience it can store maximum 10 data of different batteries. You can establish the data contains program setting of the battery to be charged or discharged continually. These data can be called out at any time you need and the process will be executed without program setting.
    ●Cyclic charging/dischargin
    Perform 1 to 5 cycles of charge>discharge or discharge>charge continually for battery refreshing and balancing.
    ●PC based analysis using USB communication
    For technical expert 501DX offers PC based program can analysis the characteristic of the battery by USB port. It shows a graph of voltage curve.
